Bhagwan Mahavir coin

Purpose of issue 

To celebrate Bhagwan Mahavir's 2600th birth anniversary. 


Central design 

In side an eight sided polygon a crescent with a dot inside, and three dots outside. 

A holy swastika, a hand with the Dharma chakra. 


Inscription 

Ahimsa on the palm. 

Parasparopagraho jivanam at the bottom of the polygon. 

Bhagwan Mahavir's 2600th Janm kalyanak in Hindi and English in the periphery. 

The year of issue at the bottom.
