Purpose of issue 

To mark the 50 years of supreme court of India. 

Central design 

The lion capital which is the emblem of supreme court.

 Ashoka (Dharma) chakra above the emblem. 

Inscription

 Yato dharmas tato Jaya below the emblem.

 Supreme court of India on the right side. 

Bharat ka ucchatam nyayalay on the left side. 

The year span 1950 - 2000 at the bottom.

Note 

For the first time Ashoka pillar lion capital grace both sides of the coin.
